Special Stitches:
Back Loop Single Crochet (BLSC)-
Looking at the top of your work you will see a single crochet stitch and that it makes a V shape. Next put your hook under the loop farthest from you and pull up a loop. From here complete a single crochet. (Normally you would place your hook under both loops.)
Back Loop Half Double Crochet (BLHDC)-
Looking at the top of your work you will see a single crochet stitch and that it makes a V shape. Next put your hook under the loop farthest from you and pull up a loop. From here complete a half double crochet. (Normally you would place your hook under both loops.)
Treble Crochet (TRC)-
A decrease technique in crochet. Yarn over the hook twice, insert the hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 4 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through the first 2 loops on the hook. You will now have 3 loops remaining on the hook. Yarn over and pull through the next two loops on the hook and you will have 2 loops remaining on the hook. Pull through the final 2 loops on the hook to complete the treble crochet stitch.
