HEART THEMED GRANNY SQUARE

Learn how to crochet a granny square that will grab your heart!
I could not wait to share the love I found in this heart themed pattern which can be easily used as a washcloth or added to an afghan or cardigan pattern.
Let’s Spread the Love & GRAB:
- Stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors.
- Bernat Baby Sport Yarn in Pale Blue & Pink
- Crochet hook sized 4.0 mm F/6
CROCHET KEY (U.S. terms):
- ST/STS – STICH/SITCHES
- CH – CHAIN
- SC – SINGLE CROCHET
- HDC – HALF DOUBLE CROCHET
- DC – DOUBLE CROCHET
- BLHDC – BACK LOOP HALF DOUBLE CROCHET
- SL ST – SLIP STITCH
- RND – ROUND
- ROW – ROW
Special Stitches:
BACK LOOP HALF DOUBLE CROCHET (BLHDC)-
Looking at the top of your work you will see a single crochet stitch and that it makes a V shape. Next put your hook under the loop farthest from you and pull up a loop. From here complete a half double crochet. (Normally you would place your hook under both loops.)
