I could not wait to share this handsome headband pattern for beginners. (Sized for Toddlers to Adults)
Let’s Spread the love & GRAB:
- Stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors.

- SC – SINGLE CROCHET
- FLSC – FRONT LOOP SINGLE CROCHET
- BLSC – BACK LOOP SINGLE CROCHET
- SL ST – SLIP STITCH

Special Stitches:
Front Loop Single Crochet (FLSC)-
Looking at the top of your work you will see a single crochet stitch and that it makes a V shape. Next put your hook under the loop closest to you and pull up a loop. From here complete a single crochet. (Normally you would place your hook under both loops.)
Back Loop Single Crochet (BLSC)-
Looking at the top of your work you will see a single crochet stitch and that it makes a V shape. Next put your hook under the loop farthest from you and pull up a loop. From here complete a single crochet. (Normally you would place your hook under both loops.)

ROW 5-58: Repeat ROW 3 to 4 (Alternate between the two ROW), SL ST to the end of ROW 58 and leave a 1 1/2 inch tail. Fold the headband in half and line up the two ends, weave them together with the tail.
Create bow TIE:

BOW TIE PATTERN:
ROW 1: SL ST, CH 15, 1 SC into the 2nd CH from the hook, 1 SC in each ST to the end of the row, CH 1 and turn (14 STS)
ROW 2: *SC in the bottom of the CH 1, 1 FLSC in each ST to the end of the ROW, CH 1 and turn. (14 STS)
ROW 3-10: Repeat ROW 2 eight more times, SL ST in the last CH of ROW 10, fasten off. Use the 1 1/2 inch yarn tail from the start of the pattern and weave/sew the headband into a loop shape.
Fasten the Bow to the Headband:
Cut about 45 inches of yarn and/or wrap yarn around your index and middle finger about 12 times. Set to the side, use later to wrap around the bow center and then attach to the headband.
two STEPS TO COMPLETE THE HEADBAND:

SHAPE BOW:
Take the bow tie square and fold in half toward you. Next while you have the center fold pinched in the back you will take the top and bottom edge of the square and fold away from you.

WEAVE & FINISH:
With the bow square pinch together take the 45 inches of yarn, leave a 2 inch tail hanging and start wrapping the yarn around the center of the bow shape. Make sure to leave about a 2 inch tail before you fully wrap the yarn around the bow center, knot the yarn.
Grab your headband place the bow over the section where you wove the two ends of the headband together. Next wrap the yarn tails from the bow around the headband and synch down. Tie off and weave in the ends to complete the pattern.
